The Resident Services Director for Independent Living is responsible for organization, supervision and administration of the total resident care program, including coordination of social, medical, psychological, spiritual and physical services for residents.
Qualifications:
Active state Registered Nurse (RN) or Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure requiredBachelors Degree in Nursing or related field preferredTwo years experience in Gerontology preferredDemonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations requiredAbility to instruct, direct and lead staff requiredStrong computer skills requiredResponsibilities and Expectations:
Responsible for developing and implementing resident care policies/procedures and standards of practice.
Responsible for overall scheduling, staffing and supervision of department.
Maintain all census information for reporting (daily and monthly)Perform daily rounds to assure quality service.
Plan and coordinate the move-ins and orientation of prospective and new residents, in conjunction with marketing.
Operate within budgetary guidelines.
Conduct regular staff meetings with all shifts.
Maintain appropriate resident records and prepares all required and requested reports.
Responsible for ensuring personal care needs of residents are met.
Responsible for comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care.
Knowledge of resident admission process and related regulations.
Maintain fiscal control of the department as measured by monthly financial statements.
Relate all necessary resident and staffing information to Administrator.
Assess accidents, develop and implement recommendations for follow-up.
Communicate and collaborate with external referral sources and internal staff to ensure optimum resident services.
Ensure the Independent Living Handbook and other printed materials are reviewed routinely, at least annually.
